ISPI 2019 Silent Auction

Deadline to Donate: March 1, 2019

Inspired by some of our members who offered to donate ISPI memorabilia, services or other Items, The Board of Directors will be hosting a Silent Auction at the 2019 ISPI Annual Conference. Proceeds will directly support Conference registration fees for Students to attend the 2020 ISPI Annual Conference.

Our Silent Auction will be a true New Orleans experience - Party Gras! We want this to be an enjoyable time to help students experience all that ISPI has to offer.

How Can you Help?

We are asking our members consider donating items for our silent auction. Here are some ideas:

  • One hour virtual or in-person coaching or mentoring session
  • Books or training materials
  • Gift certificate to your business
  • Curated basket (chocolates, teas, or local food)
  • Handmade items
  • Pieces of art or certificate to select art from online store
  • Something whimsical or unexpected!

You do not have to attend the 2019 Annual Conference to participate. Please keep in mind that individuals bidding on items will need to travel back home from the 2019 Annual Conference with their prizes. The deadline to donate items is March 1, 2019.

All donations are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible.  A downloadable donation form for the silent auction items is below . Simply fill it out and return to conference@ispi.org with the subject line "Silent Auction," and we’ll handle everything.

How will the Silent Auction Work?

Items for the silent auction will be collected beforehand, and then put out in a common area at the Conference. The silent auction will begin and end at a time that will be announced to Conference attendees beforehand.

Bidding on items happens silently. The asking price of each item is listed at the top of a clipboard or sheet. Attendees will be given a number to use, rather than write down their name, when making bids. They will list their number, along with their bid on the bid sheets for items they are interested in. They may bid on as many items as they wish, and may go back to see if others have placed a bid after them - and subsequently list an additional bid to keep their bid active.

Once the auction closes, individuals who have the last bids on the bid sheets will be contacted of their win, and will be asked to make their payment before collecting their prize.
